The Cross-Tie to Resume Publishing

ATHENS, Ga. – After spending much of 2006 on hiatus, The Cross-Tie, Railfanning.org’s e-zine, will resume publication beginning in January.

The Cross-Tie publishes items of general railroad interest, including industry news and features. The publication debuted in January 2003.

“I’m excited about the return of The Cross-Tie,” Publisher Todd DeFeo said. “I’ve been busy making a lot of changes to Railfanning.org in 2006, including moving the site to its own server and completing a total redesign.

“I also have some changes planned for The Cross-Tie that will fit in nicely with our new site,” DeFeo added. “In the upcoming year, I’m hopeful to publish a lot more railroad features in The Cross-Tie. So, be sure to read early and read often.

Railfanning.org launched in September 2002 and offers a variety of information about the railroad industry, major railroad companies and the rolling stock regularly seen on the rails today. It also hosts a news wire of the latest railroad headlines.
