NEW YORK — RailWorks Corp. announced two promotions at its U.S.-based track construction subsidiaries: RailWorks Track Services Inc. and RailWorks Track Systems Inc.
Ed Kennedy has been appointed Vice President of Operations for RailWorks Track Services.
Kennedy has nearly 20 years of track construction and management experience, beginning as a track laborer and working in progressively more responsible positions. While serving as general manager of RailWorks’ track construction office in Youngstown, Ohio, for the past decade, he achieved dramatic revenue growth and successfully completed an impressive range of projects for Class I railroads Canadian Pacific Railway, CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern Railway as well as industrial clients, including General Electric and NRG Energy.
In his new position, he is responsible for directing all operations across RailWorks Track Services, focusing on equipment utilization and other process improvements. He remains based in Youngstown, Ohio.
Brian Bennett has been named Vice President and Regional Manager for the Southeast region of RailWorks Track Systems.
Bennett has more than 15 years of management experience in the track construction industry. During the past several years he managed large-scale track construction and rehabilitation projects for Class I and regional railroads including CSX Transportation, RailAmerica and the DM&E Railway, as well as numerous industrial clients.
Since opening RailWorks’ new Southeast region a year ago, Bennett quickly built a solid and growing business base. With his promotion, Bennett will continue managing and expanding business activities in the active Southeast market, as well as the company’s production and bridge gangs. He is based in Atlanta.
