An out-of-service MARTA train with no passengers on board derailed today about 10 a.m. on an aerial overpass at Interstate 85 near Riverdale Road.

The train was traveling on a feeder track en route to a MARTA rail yard facility when the trail derailed, according to MARTA. The derailment was not expected to impact on transit service, MARTA said in a news release.
