Amtrak Adding Acela Express Stops in New Jersey

Acela Express is adding station stops in Iselin (Metropark) and Trenton, New Jersey.

Effective Aug. 22, 2016, Amtrak Train No. 2173, departing New York Penn Station at 8:13 p.m., will stop at MetroPark at 8:41 p.m. en route to Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Amtrak Train No. 2175, departing New York Penn Station at 9:05 p.m. will stop at Trenton at 9:51 p.m. en route to Washington, D.C.

“These modifications better align our Acela Express schedule with the needs and desires of our premium customers in New Jersey,” Michael J. DeCataldo, Amtrak Senior Vice President and General Manager of Northeast Corridor Operations said in a news release. “Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor services remain focused on our goal of providing safe, reliable rail service with a commitment to financial excellence and superior customer service.”
