A Modern Freight Rumbles Through Historic Railroad Town

KINGSTON, Ga. — Kingston is a great historic railroad town.

Of course, the city is particularly famous for the role it played during the Andrews Raid of 1862. The city was also the junction point for the Western & Atlantic and Rome railroads.

Today, it is a quiet hamlet located on the Western & Atlantic Subdivision of the CSX mainline between Atlanta and Chattanooga, Tenn.
