NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Southern Corporation announced today that Charles Wick Moorman has been named senior vice president corporate services, effective Feb. 1, with headquarters in Norfolk. He will report to David R. Goode, chairman, president and chief executive officer, who made the announcement.
Since 1999, Moorman has been president of Thoroughbred Technology and Telecommunications, an NS subsidiary, and will continue to hold that post. A native of New Orleans, he joined the company as a co-op student in 1970 and served in positions of increasing responsibility, becoming vice president personnel and labor relations in 1992. He later served as vice president information technology before assuming his most recent position.
Moorman graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and from Harvard Business School with a master’s of business administration.
