Cross-Tie Completes Three Years of Publishing

ATHENS, Ga. – Railfanning.org’s Cross-Tie publication, a monthly e-zine distributed freely to subscribers, has completed three years of publication.

The e-zine completed three years with its December issue, which featured a cover story about Amtrak’s current woes.

Starting with issues in 2005, the e-zine added its wreck roundup, a listing of major wrecks from the past month. The e-zine also started a monthly trackside profile.

Railfanning.org posts regular news updates on its News Wire web page. The monthly e-zine is available on Railfanning.org and through Train Kept A-Rollin’ – its Yahoo Group, which is open to the public. The e-zine is also distributed to various railroad-related groups.

Railfanning.org launched in September 2002 and offers up information about several cities nationwide, including Marietta, Ga., Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis, Mo. The site also includes information about railroad safety, rolling stock seen on the rails today and general railroad information.
