NEW YORK — RailWorks Corp. has appointed Michael P. Holt as president of the National Transit division of its transit systems subsidiary, L.K. Comstock & Company Inc.
Holt comes to L.K. Comstock with more than 30 years of construction experience in the public and private sectors, focusing on heavy civil, building, and water and wastewater treatment facility projects. He most recently served as vice president and East Coast regional manager for MWH Constructors Inc., an international program management, consulting and construction services firm.
Prior to that he held leadership positions at a range of respected construction companies, including Holt & Mahone Constructors, a water and wastewater contracting firm he co-founded, and the Heavy Civil Group of Beers Skanska, formerly Beers Construction Company. Holt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in building construction from Auburn University’s School of Architecture.
In his new position, Holt will lead L.K. Comstock’s National Transit division, which includes transit systems projects throughout North America, outside of the New York City metro region. Based at the company’s National Transit division headquarters in Norcross, Ga., he is responsible for building on L.K. Comstock’s long history of quality performance on transit systems projects.
L.K. Comstock has successfully completed more than 100 transit projects valued in excess of $2 billion for more than 30 transit agencies.
