WASHINGTON — Washington Metro Red Line trains will share a single track for four hours a day between the Silver Spring and Forest Glen Metrorail stations weekdays to allow for track work.
The will is scheduled on the line between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Jan. 4 through Jan. 21. However, the work will not be performed on Jan. 17, the agency said.
The work will “enable Metro to perform state of good repair work on the tracks in that area,” the agency said in a news release. “The work will improve service reliability for riders and customers traveling between these stations should not anticipate any delays.”
