Delta Railroad Services Expands East Coast Footprint, Opens New York Office

Delta Railroad Services, a railroad construction and equipment rental company serving railroad infrastructure needs throughout North America, is opening its East Coast Headquarters in Queens.

Headquartered in Ashtabula, Ohio, officials said the East Coast Headquarters on Astoria Boulevard represents an extension of its long history and presence in the New York market. It will focus on new construction, maintenance, and repairs for transit and commuter rail to reduce the New York City congestion.

Delta Railroad Services has worked on more than 25 projects in the New York City area for more than 20 years, including the Long Island Railroad and NJ Transit. The company has been awarded more than $200 million in contracts for new construction, railway maintenance, and track and turnout renewal.

Part of the Salcef Group, Delta Railroad Services was founded in 1957 by Cosmo Anthony Laurello. The company started as a small railroad construction business and has expanded to one of North America’s top railroad construction companies.
