MARTA to Suspend Atlanta Streetcar Service for January Power Work

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will suspend streetcar service from Jan. 13–17, 2025, to allow Georgia Power to make emergency repairs on Carnegie Way.

MARTA shuttle vans, wrapped to look like the streetcar, will provide service along the streetcar route.

In addition to the scheduled Georgia Power work, other City contractors and utility companies will use the five-day streetcar suspension to conduct any necessary repairs or adjustments near the tracks.

The streetcars will resume servicing the route on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 8:15 a.m.
