The railroad crossing at State Route 52 in Gilmer County will be closed starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, for removal work, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.
A detour will direct motorists onto Depot Street, then reconnect them with State Route 52. The project is expected to be completed by Thursday, Sept. 4, weather permitting.
