The Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority approved $625,000 in funding for DeKalb County, Georgia, through the 2025 Transit Trust Fund Program.

This award fully secures the remaining investment needed to advance the county’s updated Master Transit Plan. The allocation exceeds its initial request and closes the final funding gap, allowing work on the plan to proceed without delay.

Before this award, DeKalb County officials had secured $500,000 from the Atlanta Regional Commission and a $125,000 local match. With the new funding, the updated Master Transit Plan is now fully financed.

The updated plan will serve as a comprehensive framework for improving mobility throughout DeKalb County. It is designed to expand and enhance transit services, address mobility gaps, improve regional connectivity, increase equitable access for underserved communities, support economic development, and streamline the rider experience through customer-focused improvements.
