The Cross-Tie is Here

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Railfanning.org has posted the January and March 2003 editions of The Cross-Tie on its new web page – http://railfanning.org/news.

“The Cross-Tie provides railroad-related information in an easy-to-read format that is both appealing to railfans and the casual observer,” said Todd DeFeo, who publishes the monthly newsletter.

DeFeo added: “The information is presented so railroad buffs will benefit from the news, especially the cover story, focusing on one particular issue more in depth. However, The Cross-Tie is designed that someone, who may not be the most die-hard railroad buff, will also be able to glance over a copy and casually glean information about railroads.”

The Cross-Tie is a monthly publication, uploaded on the 15th of each month. The first two editions consisted of four pages. Six pages of news, photos and railroad tidbits will fill the April edition.

Railfanning.org launched in September 2002 and offers information about several cities nationwide, including Marietta, Ga., Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis, Mo. The site also includes information about railroad safety, rolling stock seen on the rails today and general railroad information.
