BOCA RATON, Fla. — RailAmerica Inc. announced the appointment of Bill Schroeder as Director of Marketing & Sales for the Northeast Region and Douglas Low as Manager, Marketing and Sales for the New England Central Railroad.

Bill Schroeder joins RailAmerica with over 34 years of experience in the railroad industry. He began his career as a Car Inspector with Pacific Fruit Express Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Upon his departure from Pacific Fruit Express, Schroeder worked with the Milwaukee Road, Union Pacific Railroad, and Canadian National Railway. His most recent role was that of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Genesee & Wyoming, Inc.
In his new role, Schroeder will be responsible for developing and leading strategic marketing initiatives for the Northeast Region.
Douglas Low joins RailAmerica with over 24 years of experience in the railroad industry. He began his career as a Manager, GTW Chemicals & Aggregates Marketing for Canadian National. Upon his departure, Low took a position as Market Manager, Automotive Service Group with CSX Transportation.
His most recent role was that of Principal for Management Services in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In his new role, Low will be responsible for identifying and securing rail traffic from new and existing customers for the New England Central Railroad.
