MONTREAL — CN said locomotive engineers and conductors who work on its rail lines in eastern Quebec and northeastern New Brunswick have ratified a new collective labour agreement.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Southern Corp. reported third-quarter 2010 net income of $445 million, an increase of 47 percent, compared with $303 million for third-quarter 2009. Diluted earnings per share were $1.19, up 47 percent, compared with $0.81 per share in the third quarter of 2009.

CN announced it has reached a tentative labour agreement with the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) union representing locomotive engineers who work on the Company’s Northern Quebec Internal Short Line (NQISL).
