KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A wholly-owned subsidiary of National Coal Corp. sold 42 miles of rail line between Oneida and Devonia, Tenn., to R.J. Corman Railroad for approximately $3 million.
WASHINGTON — Affordable coal-based electricity has helped ensure America’s position as a global economic superpower, and freight railroads are a big reason for that, Association of American Railroads (AAR) President and CEO Edward R. Hamberger told the Congressional Coal Caucus.
WASHINGTON — The Association of American Railroads (AAR) reported that intermodal volume on U.S. freight railroads for the week ended May 15, 2010, reached its highest level since the 47th week of 2008.
