City and state officials are hoping for federal money to make up a major funding gap.

Norfolk Southern Corp. has named Ann A. Adams as chief human resources officer, responsible for human resources and labor relations, and has reported to CEO Mark George. In addition, PC Bryant has been named vice president of human resources, reporting to Adams.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation and the city of Columbia, South Carolina; the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Railroad Administration, will host an in-person public meeting next month about the Assembly Street railroad separation project to reduce traffic congestion caused by train crossings.
