Union Pacific Reports Record Quarter

OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific Corporation today reported 2010 third quarter net income of $778 million, or $1.56 per diluted share, compared to $514 million, or $1.01 per diluted share, in the third quarter 2009. Third quarter Operating Revenue grew 20 percent to $4.4 billion versus $3.7 billion in the third quarter 2009.

Union Pacific Railroad’s Iconic Steam Locomotive to Tour the Pacific Northwest

OMAHA, Neb. — Bound for the rugged western U.S., a land of endless possibility that the railroad united with the east in 1869, Union Pacific Railroad’s historic steam locomotive, No. 844, will travel more than 2,300 miles from its base in Wyoming on a 15-day, three-state tour to the Pacific Northwest to celebrate Union Pacific’s role in the building of the western United States.

Union Pacific Reports Record Quarterly Earnings

OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific Corp. reported 2010 second quarter net income of $711 million, or $1.40 per diluted share, compared to $465 million, or $0.92 per diluted share, in the second quarter 2009.
