DULUTH, Ga., March 27, 2017 — The Southeastern Railway Museum will celebrate cabooses and the crews that called them home during a special two-day event
The museum will host Caboose Days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 1-2.
During the event, docents will interpret the history of cabooses and the roles they played on the railroad The volunteers will highlight the tools of the trade and describe what life was like living and working on a caboose.
Guests can also enjoy food, vendors and movies showing cabooses in action. For $2, guests can ride on the museum’s restored antique handcar, and for $3, guests can ride in a caboose pulled by a vintage locomotive.
Kids will also have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt around the museum’s grounds for a chance to win prizes.
