Todd DeFeo will explore the parallels of two railroad with ante-bellum roots: the Western & Atlantic between Atlanta and Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville between Paris, Tennessee, and Guthrie, Kentucky. One (the Western & Atlantic) succeeded, while one (the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville) did not.
