Twenty people were injured when a passenger train derailed in Russia’s Komi region in the county’s far north, Reuters reported.
A Radio Free Europe report pegged the number of injured passengers at 70.
According to the report, nine of the train’s 15 carriages derailed. The train was traveling from Vorkuta to Novorossiysk and had at least 215 passengers at the time of the derailment.
According to Radio Free Europe, officials said a washed-out embankment caused the derailment.
