NJ Transit officials said the agency would support customers who travel to and from PATH’s Hoboken Station while they complete extensive renovation work from Jan. 30 through Feb. 25.
Customers are encouraged to consider alternate service options provided by PATH, including NY Waterway ferry service and shuttles to Newport and Exchange Place stations for increased PATH train service. NJ Transit has deployed additional customer service ambassadors to assist customers during their travels.
“We are ready to assist Hoboken PATH customers by providing additional resources that will complement PATH’s established alternate travel options to ensure their journeys remain as smooth as possible,” NJ Transit President & CEO Kris Kolluri said in a release. “Collaboration between regional transit agencies is essential to keeping our communities connected, and we’re pleased to play a role in supporting PATH customers during this period.”
NJ Transit customers using the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail or Bus Route No. 126 services may encounter more crowded conditions than usual. Customers are encouraged to allow extra time to connect with alternate service options.
