MARTA Five Points Transformation Project to Resume May 17

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will resume the transformation project at Five Points Station.

MARTA will detour downtown bus routes on May 17 and close customer services such as the RideStore, Lost & Found, and Reduced Fare office on June 6.

Once finalized, the details of other impacts, such as the closure of the Alabama Street, Broad Street Plaza, and Peachtree Street station entrances and the relocation of customer services, will be shared.

During deconstruction, street-level station, elevator, and bus access will be maintained on Forsyth Street. Rail service and transfers are not impacted and will operate as scheduled.

MARTA is transforming Five Points Station into a vibrant city center with improved transit connectivity, increased safety, and enhanced customer amenities. The project’s first phase, the deconstruction of the concrete canopy, was paused last summer for additional planning to ensure continued station access.
