Train service connecting Moscow and Pyongyang is set to resume this week, according to a report.
Reuters reported that the Russia-North Korea rail link would return for the first time since it was suspended in February 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the service, a North Korean passenger railcar will be attached to a service between Moscow and Vladivostok and then hooked to another train.
The twice-a-month service will resume on June 17. Reuters reported the 6,213-mile-long journey will take eight days and is “the longest direct rail journey in the world.”
