MARTA Police Charge Third Suspect in Shooting Death of Bus Operator

ATLANTA — The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Police Department has charged a third suspect with murder for the shooting death of a bus operator.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, three juveniles got into an altercation with bus operator Leroy Ramos in the bus loop at Decatur Station, and Ramos was shot and killed.

Two suspects were arrested immediately and charged with murder. The third and suspected shooter turned himself into DeKalb County Police tonight and has been charged with murder.

The names and ages of the three suspects will not be released as they are juveniles. They have been charged as adults.
