Officials to Highlight Free Shuttle Service in Southern New Jersey

The new SJ Connects Burlington County regional transportation initiative will provide free shuttle service, stopping at key destinations throughout the area, including Cooper University Health Care at the Moorestown Mall and Moorestown Library.

Proponents argue it is designed to address longstanding transportation gaps across South Jersey and better connect residents to employment, healthcare, essential services and existing public transportation.

New Jersey Sen. Troy Singleton, D-Burlington, will join the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey, South Jersey Transportation Authority, state and county elected officials, and Cooper University Health Care for a ride-along on Monday, Sept. 14.

After the ride-along, participating officials and regional leaders will discuss creating and launching SJ Connects, the importance of expanding transportation options in Burlington County and how improved mobility can connect residents to jobs, healthcare, and the region’s growing education and medical corridors.
