Indiana, Alabama & Texas Railroad Begins Service

Overview

On Feb. 10, 1885, the Indiana, Alabama & Texas Railroad began operating trains between Clarksville and southern Christian County, Kentucky. The railroad eventually extended its line to Gracey, Kentucky. The Louisville & Nashville Railroad purchased the company’s stock and bonds in 1887.
