New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Saturday said a plan to close down the city’s subways for four hours each day presents an opportunity to reach homeless individuals who’ve been neglected for decades.

The $2 trillion stimulus package passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday reportedly includes a $1.25 billion bailout for New Jersey Transit (NJT), the full amount the company requested on March 19.

Amtrak and N.J. Transit are refreshing of the ticketed waiting area at New York Penn Station, the seating area for their customers at the Amtrak Concourse on the Upper Level and 8th Avenue side of the station.
