Rail passengers traveling on the Northeast Corridor between Washington and Baltimore will see increased construction activity at the B&P Tunnel Replacement Program site as Amtrak’s tunneling contractor prepares to launch the first of two tunnel boring machines in 2028.

Amtrak will begin a major rehabilitation of the nearly century-old Dock Bridge in New Jersey after awarding construction and project management contracts for the work.

The Ohio Rail Development Commission approved grant funding to support four projects across the Buckeye State at its July 23 meeting.
