Tennessee Central Passenger Service Ends

The Tennessee Central ended its passenger service when the final run of train No. 2 departed Nashville at 8 a.m. Officials said the train cost $143,000 per year to operate and only generated $77,000 per year, The Nashville Tennessean reported at the time.
