New York is getting nearly $6.9 billion in federal funding to help build a long delayed second tunnel beneath the Hudson River in what state leaders say is the largest transportation grant in U.S. history.

While New Jersey officials are seeing red over the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s new congestion pricing plan, the state is still getting plenty of green from the regional transit agency.

President Joe Biden visited New York Tuesday to tout how his infrastructure law is making investments in the nation’s transportation system, and deliver a $300 million federal grant for a long-delayed Hudson Tunnel project.
