OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific will improve Wyoming’s transportation infrastructure with a more than $20 million investment to improve the rail line that runs from near Manville to near Lusk, Wyo. Work on the nearly 26-mile stretch of railroad track began May 4 and is scheduled to be completed in mid June. The project includes removing and installing new rail and more than 67,000 concrete ties. Crews also will spread more than 86,000 tons of rock ballast reinforcing the roadbed. OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific will improve part of Iowa’s transportation infrastructure with a more than $8.5 million investment to its rail line that runs from near Clinton to near Blairstown, Iowa. The projects include removing and installing nearly 54,000 ties, spread 33,500 tons of rock ballast to ensure a stable roadbed, renew the surfaces in 79 road crossings. Union Pacific Railroad Invests More Than $3 Million for Track Improvements to Its Line from Near Jefferson City to California, Mo.

OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific will improve part of Missouri’s transportation infrastructure with a more than $3 million investment to its rail line that runs from near Jefferson City to California, Mo. The projects include removing and installing more than 22,000 ties, spread more than 11,000 tons of rock ballast to ensure a stable roadbed and renew the surfaces in 31 road crossings.  The tie replacement project began April 25 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of June.  The road surfacing improvement projects began in February and are scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
