Views of SEPTA

In a private ceremony today attended by Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC) CEO Wick Moorman, Lt. Governor Jim Cawley, State Senator Tommy Tomlinson, Drexel University President John Fry, and numerous government and business officials, family and friends, NS renamed its Dillerville Yard here in honor of H. Craig Lewis.

Amtrak is investing $122 million in Pennsylvania to improve tracks on the Harrisburg Line, between Lancaster and Harrisburg. This work will improve ride quality and comfort, increase service reliability and complete the necessary work required to keep the tracks in a state of good repair. 

When looking at what Pennsylvania lawmakers can do to enhance railroad safety, it appears much of it is out of their hands.
