A bomb has exploded on a railroad track in southwestern Pakistan, killing at least five people and wounding 10 others.
Officials said Monday’s blast, in the Naseerabad district of Baluchistan province, derailed a train. The device had been planted on the tracks.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Baluchistan has been affected by sectarian violence recently, in addition to nationalist groups demanding greater rights and a share of gas and mineral revenues.
