Chestatee

Baldwin Locomotive Works built the Chestatee locomotive for the Western & Atlantic Railroad in 1855.

Numbered 43, the locomotive underwent several renumberings and rebuilds throughout its service life. It was later renumbered to Western & Atlantic No. 7 and named J.W. Lewis.

In 1891, it was rebuilt and renumbered as Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis No. 207. The locomotive was sold to Ensign Lumber Company for $1,000 the following year.
