Streetcar Service Resumes in Clarksville, Tennessee

Overview

On April 8, 1916, the newly organized Citizens Street Railway restored streetcar service in Clarksville, Tennessee. The company had spent several months repairing deteriorated track and rebuilding the overhead trolley system inherited from the Clarksville & Dunbar Cave Railway. Citizens Street Railway became the final company to operate Clarksville’s streetcars.
