The United Kingdom’s Rail Accident Investigation Branch has launched an investigation after a young person was struck and killed by a train at the Chestnut Grove footpath crossing between Lowdham and Burton Joyce stations on Nov. 26.

Rail fares will be frozen nationwide for the first time in three decades, with the chancellor and the transport secretary unveiling a budget move that they said maintains prices on season tickets, peak return fares for commuters, and off-peak returns between major cities.

The United Kingdom’s Rail Accident Investigation Branch has opted not to undertake a full investigation into the August collision of a train load with a footbridge on the Dean Forest Railway in Gloucestershire.
