Officials in Georgia and South Carolina are taking action as Tropical Storm Debby is expected to dump rain on the states after making landfall on Monday morning along the Florida coast.

The federal government has sued Atlanta-based Norfolk Southern, saying the company is violating federal law by delaying Amtrak’s Crescent trains that operate between New York and New Orleans.

Patriot Rail’s Blue Ridge Scenic Railway celebrated Patriot’s former chief executive officer, John E. Fenton, today with a special dedication ceremony renaming the railroad’s depot to Fenton Station in honor of Fenton’s contributions to the transformation of the scenic operation and the Patriot Rail nationwide network.
