U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-New Jersey, recently called on NJ Transit and Amtrak to put aside bureaucratic stalling and immediately move forward with the Lackawanna Cut-off restoration project.
The NJ Transit Board of Directors this week approved the purchase of 25 additional Multilevel III rail cars, exercising options on the original December 2018 contract with Alstom to purchase 113 new Multilevel III rail cars.
