NJ Transit is preparing to advance a major infrastructure facility project in Clifton, New Jersey.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and NJ Transit President & CEO Kris Kolluri announced a tentative agreement with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen.

Contract negotiations between NJ Transit and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen have ceased for the day but remain ongoing.

Speaking at Newark Broad Street Station, NJ Transit President & CEO Kris Kolluri emphasized his commitment to continuing the negotiations and expressed optimism that a timely resolution could be reached with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET).

New Jersey Assemblywoman Victoria Flynn and Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger condemned the NJ Transit strike that has paralyzed rail service statewide, warning it marks the beginning of another “summer of hell” for Monmouth County commuters.
