PICKERING, England — The North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s Annual Steam Gala delighted railfans, with guest steam locomotives taking to the heritage railway’s rails, ferrying passengers and providing plenty of railfanning action to photograph.
This year’s gala kicked off on Thursday, Sept. 26, and runs until Sunday, Sept. 27. Visiting steam locomotives include the famed Sir Nigel Gresley and the Pendennis Castle, which made its first visit to the heritage railway. An LSWR T3 Class locomotive also delighted fans.
