In Honor of Queen Elizabeth II, a Windsor Photo Gallery

Windsor is best known for Windsor Castle, a royal palace. The castle was the primary residence of Queen Elizabeth II, who died Thursday at 96 years old.

For many visitors to the city, Windsor & Eton Riverside station is the gateway. It is one of two stations on the line.

Windsor & Eton Riverside, located 25 miles and 48 chains from London Waterloo, opened on December 1, 1849. Today, the station serves South Western Railway trains on the Windsor branch of the Great Western Main Line.

These pictures were taken in March 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the world.
