A Look Back at Winter Park’s 1962 Atlantic Coast Line Station

WINTER PARK, Florida — The historic 1962 Atlantic Coast Line Railroad (ACL) train depot in Winter Park, Florida, served Amtrak trains traveling between New York City and Miami for decades.

However, on March 3, 2014, the new Winter Park station opened to serve both Amtrak passenger and SunRail commuter trains.

“The old [station] was quaint and great for its time, but the new station is something the community can be proud of,” OrangeObserver.com quoted Winter Park City Commissioner Tom McMacken as saying in 2014.

These pictures of the old passenger station were taken on February 11, 2014.
