New L&N Depot Opens in Clarksville, Tennessee

Overview

On March 15, 1882, trains began using the Louisville & Nashville Railroad’s new passenger depot near Bradley’s Brickyard in Clarksville.

Construction started in September 1881 after years of debate over the station’s location. Once opened, the depot was Clarksville’s principal passenger railroad gateway.
