Rail service between Reading and Swindon is expected to resume Sept. 24 after engineers repaired a gas leak near railway property in the Didcot area.
Network Rail and GWR expect to operate a normal level of service following severe disruption between Reading and Swindon.
Most trains are expected to run on their usual schedules, though some short-notice changes remain possible as GWR restores normal operations. Passengers are advised to check their journeys before traveling.
Passengers who held tickets for travel through Didcot on Sept. 23 may use them Sept. 24 or apply for a refund if they chose not to travel.
The gas leak occurred during nearby building work. An exclusion zone that included railway property was established while engineers from gas distribution company SGN and National Gas completed repairs.
